Kashi Go Lean: Cinnamon Coffee Cake

We’re fond of just about all of the Kashi Go Lean “Crunchy” line – and Cinnamon Coffee Cake is no exception. Granted, it doesn’t have the consistency of coffee cake, but the flavor is spot on from start to finish. Fortunately though, this bar is a bit more healthy than the real thing, especially with its 8g of protein and 5g of fiber (and a modest 160 calories). The product is made with Kashi’s trademark “7 whole grains and sesame” blend, which gives the product a wholesome and slightly earthy flavor. Lastly, there’s bit of indulgence, with a sugary glaze that covers the bottom and is drizzled on top. Packaging is technical in style, lacking in the personality department compared to some of its competitors. The easiest solution would be to replace the graphic of the cinnamon sticks and nuts with something that’s a bit more appealing. Overall, we really like the taste, but it lacks in appearance.
