NuGo Dark: Chocolate Chocolate Chip

Well, despite the fact that this bar manages to pack 10 grams of protein and dairy free dark, dark chocolate into a fairly (190) low-cal package, we wouldn’t exactly call NuGo high on the virtue scale. But it does have a big of a gourmet cachet with the dark chocolate, as well as strong cocoa flavor. The soy nuggets that comprise the body are also in nice balance with the multiple chocolate pebbles mixed in under the coating. What you’ve got here is a high-protein Watchamacallit bar, which from our perspective is a terrific thing to be able to get away with eating. Packaging is a problem, though – it seems stranded between a high-end chocolate bar and something we’d find in a Vitamin Shoppe; adding some explanatory language might help.
