Think Green: Peanut Butter Chocolate

Honestly, when we saw the name “Peanut Butter Chocolate,” we expected a different flavor than what’s actually inside this wrapper. Fortunately, the flavor that you get from this bar, along with the nutrients and “green” ingredients, make it something that we’d reach for again and again. This chocolate coated bar hits you with a fair dose of chocolate flavor, followed by a strong note of green tea and other earthy flavors (similar to one of those green smoothies you can get at your local smoothie joint). They’ve also added raisins, which are a pleasant complement, although they do mask the peanut butter and salt flavors that would otherwise be present. Consistency is soft and only very slightly chewy, so it’s easy to eat this bar quickly. Nutritionally, this bar is sufficient, but not a standout, packing 2g of fiber, 6g of protein, potassium, calcium, iron and antioxidants into a 200 calorie, 8g of fat product. Overall, this is a good gateway bar for consumers who like earthy flavors but don’t want to sacrifice good taste.
