ExtendBar’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Delight is a bar that’s designed to help control blood sugar for up to 9 hours through the use of sugar alcohol (malitol) instead of regular sugar. The flavor of this bar is extremely enjoyable, with puffed rice, peanut butter, and chocolate delivering an almost candy bar like flavor. Despite having 0g of sugar (thanks to the use of Splenda and malitol), the product tastes almost exactly like a product that’s sweetened with sugar. There’s no sweetener aftertaste, which is certainly a plus, and the bar claims to be a low glycemic index product. It also has 11g of protein, 5g of fiber, calcium, iron, and phosphorous, which add some nutrition to the mix. Packaging feels like a cross between a diet product and a candy bar, with an orange and beige backdrop that features a simple logo and images of chocolate and peanuts. While it doesn’t really give you a sense of what’s inside the wrapper, the presentation is clean, making it easy for you to quickly read the benefits of the bar. Overall, enjoyable flavor and a unique value proposition make this bar worth a shot.
